Our Team

Jane has worked extensively in the Northern Rivers region as an independent producer, Placemaking Producer for the Lismore Quad, Festival Producer for the Boomerang Festival (Bluesfest) and Programming Manager for NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts). From 2014 to 2018, Jane was the General Manager for BlakDance – the national Peak Organisation for First Nations dance. Other roles have included Executive Producer for Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM), Associate Producer for the Australian Cultural Festival, Australian Embassy, Jakarta and Executive Producer for the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, Bali.

Grace Dewar is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and producer. They have 13 years experience in the art sector working across local government, institutions, peak bodies, and artist-run organisations. They have a background in collaborative practice, self-organised projects, public art and working with diverse communities.

Born and raised in Belgium, Magali has been living and working on Bundjalung Country since 2019. She is a versatile designer, both on and off the screen. With a background in visual arts and advertising, she has worked in marketing and graphic design for many years. Her passion for traditional crafts led her to explore various mediums, ultimately falling in love with the tactile process of working with clay. Magali is deeply connected to the ceramics scene in the Northern Rivers, where she continues to create and inspire.

Sean worked as a PR Executive Director for a top London firm where he managed clients from the UK, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris and New York for London and Paris Fashion Week. He is the Projects & Communications Manager/Costume Designer for Dance Integrated Australia and has styled and costumed for Restless Dance Theatre, No Strings Attached, Vitalstatistix, Finucane & Smith and Accessible Arts. Sean was also Projects/Digital Marketing Coordinator with BlakDance, Australia’s national industry body for contemporary Indigenous dance – Dana Waranara (2015) and the NIDF (2017). He is currently Project Manager and dancer for MOVE IT – Dance Fitness Fun.

Paris Mordecai is a proud Widjabul Wyabul woman, living on unceded Bundjalung jugun. Paris is an emerging producer for First Nations theatre and dance, with a deep love of Aboriginal performance and storytelling in all its forms. Paris has a background in First Nations education as a program coordinator, specifically in the spaces of knowledge sharing, education outreach, and community co-design. Paris is passionate about supporting artists, communities, and young people to create and share their stories through the arts. Paris is also Creative Producer First Nations at Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA).

Jen joins Arts Northern Rivers after spending almost a decade working at VicScreen administering state Government grant funding to practitioners in the Victorian film, television, web series and games industries. There, she developed a strong passion for supporting individuals in the creative sector realise their artistic visions. She is a firm believer in the vital role that art, in all its rich forms, plays in the well-being of society. Jen’s love of the written word also led her to complete postgraduate studies in writing and literature at Deakin University.

Sasha is excited to join Arts Northern Rivers as Accounts Administrator which is a new direction for her in the creative community and not for profit space. With varied and evolving interests, Sasha has a love of learning new things. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Biology) and Veterinary Nurse qualifications and worked in these fields before starting her own bookkeeping business as a qualified bookkeeper and BAS agent, supporting small local business with their financial management for the past 7 years.
